Prior to me expanding my services into brand photography a few months ago, it wasn’t really a niche I was massively familiar with to be honest, and a question I have since been asked rather a lot is ‘what is brand photography?’ So I thought I’d break it down for you and give you some more insight into what it is, why it’s so powerful and important for business owners!
Simply put, Brand Photography is a set of beautiful, bespoke images that perfectly represent your brand story and identity. They usually include photographs of you, and your team if you have one, and can also include your working environment, your processes, your personal life, the behind the scenes of your business, and unique details that tell the story of your brand, as well as images of your products/services. As business owners we spend so long working in our business and there’s always so much that goes on behind the scenes that isn’t shared with potential clients; brand photography allows you to do this in an authentic, natural way, which in turn helps you stand out from the crowded marketplace with professional images that showcase you as the expert in your field. You wouldn’t buy a book or watch a film without reading the synopsis or watching a trailer, and it’s no different for your business; potential clients need to understand and believe in what they’re buying.
How can Brand Photography Help?
Brand Photography images are designed to be used across all marketing, both on and off line, everything from social media, website, email marketing and business cards/brochures/leaflets, to presentations and pitches, profile images on zoom/whatsapp/linkedin etc and office wall art. They also enable business owners to grow brand awareness in a consistent manner, to stand out from the competition, and build that all-important know, like and trust in potential customers, in order to attract more clients and make more sales.
A set of Brand Photography images also significantly reduces the amount of stress and time spent working out what to post on social media etc, by allowing business owners the ability to plan their content strategy with greater ease by selecting from a bank of ready-made images they already have ready to go.
