Capturing the happiness of precious family time is something that brings me great joy, whether that’s the delights of a newborn or the energy and spirit of young children. Coming from a close-knit family, I’ve grown up having the old-school structured family photo shoots, in a studio, all forcing smiles as we freeze for the camera for hours on end.
This isn’t at all what I do! We will build a shoot around your every-day life, capturing authentic moments as you play together in the park, run in the fields, have a picnic watching sunset, for example.. I will capture baby’s earliest milestones and candid moments of closeness as you care for your new arrival. It will be fun and relaxed for everyone and you’ll walk away with a collection of images you will treasure for a lifetime.
NEW for 2026 – Family mini photoshoots BLOCK bookings
This year, I’m running a special offer, for those who would like to guarantee they get a variety of photos across the year. I will be running the following sessions below, with a special block booking price for people who would like to sign up for 2 or 3 sessions.
You can pick which sessions you’d like and you’ll receive dates way in advance, so you can plan accordingly. These are heavily discounted and all include high-resolution professionally edited photos, which you select. As with all my sessions, they last 15-20 minutes and will be on selected dates across the year. PLEASE NOTE: some dates may need to change due to other work commitments but you will be notified asap if this does occur.
Easter – Saturday 14th March – inside (West Didsbury location), with backdrop and LOTS of props for little ones to have fun with
Spring – Sunday 14th June & Saturday 20th June – outside in a park in Didsbury
Autumn – Saturday 10th October – outside in a park in Didsbury
Christmas – Saturday 14th November, Saturday 28 November & Sunday 6th December – inside (West Didsbury location), with backdrop and LOTS of props for little ones to have fun with.
Mini photoshoots are a great, affordable way of getting some new photos of your little one, while they’re also having fun playing. Sessions are 15-20 minutes long.

My son and I have done a few photoshoots with Emma and they’ve always been fantastic! She’s extremely professional, very friendly and is amazing with little ones. We’ve loved all the pictures and Emma really manages to capture lovely candid moments.

No need to worry about a crying baby
I offer a very flexible service for all family shoots, from newborn to grown kids, allowing you full control over how the shoot is set up, including shooting at your home if that helps you in those early months.
I also do photoshoots outside and know lots of gorgeous locations where your kids can be having fun while we capture some beautiful, natural photos of you all.
I’m very good with babies and children, so I am always happy to be on hand to assist if a little one is having an off day.
My family shoots are on an hourly basis (1 hour is usually sufficient), but if you have a larger family then we can schedule more time. I also offer mini shoots throughout the year and always at Christmas, which is a perfect time for babies and little ones, with lots of props to play with. A gorgeous way to capture precious moments of your little ones as they grow.

A really great family photo shoot – quick fun and very productive. It was a challenge with 10 grandkids and 5 dogs but Emma made it easy. Really pleased with the results.

Family and baby mini photoshoots
Every year, I run short mini photoshoot sessions. I always run Christmas ones and often also do Easter, Halloween and Valentine’s, as well as spring and autumn. All except spring and autumn are inside, with a themed photo backdrop, and LOTS of props for the little ones to play with. Spring and autumn mini sessions are always in a lovely park, surrounded by all the lovely nature of the season, usually in Didsbury.
They’re a great, affordable way of getting some new photos of your little one, while they’re also having fun playing. Sessions are 15-20 minutes long.
